Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Certification
The Marine Stewardship Council is an international non-profit organization that works with fisheries, marine food companies, scientists, environmental groups and the general public to promote environmental marine foods.
The MSC’s four-pronged approach covers:
--production: encouraging sound fishery management
--consumption: promoting sustainability awareness and expanding the availability of certified products
--sales: providing environmentally conscious consumers with a greater selection of sustainable seafood products
--education: encouraging future generations to make sustainable choices through a deeper understanding of the importance of marine conservation
At New Cheng, we have our own sustainability standards in place to ensure we are part of the solution and not the problem. When consumers see the blue MSC logo on our products, they know the products they are buying are safe and sustainable.
